Gaelic and English services are available.

First draft to Chair and Lead Officer within one week.

Second draft within 10 days.

Rudan Practaigeach | Practical Requirements 

Meetings need to be recorded (Teams and Zoom work well).

Include nicola@lasair.co.uk in the Teams or Zoom invitation (this gives access following the meeting). 

Please obtain consent from attendees for the meeting to be recorded. 

Remember to press record! 

Ask attendees to ‘speak through the Chair’ or 'raise hand' and not to interrupt each other. This avoids any distortion in the recording. 

If a meeting is hybrid:

· please ensure a suitable microphone is on the table.

· please take time to introduce the members so their positions are noted.

Prìsean | Prices

Hourly rate: £37.50. 

Meetings are normally charged on the following basis:

*Length of meeting x 2 (although this depends on the quality of the meeting and any additional post-meeting edits) 

*This applies to a standard meeting, which includes the preparation of one draft to the Chair and Lead Officer for comment, and one approved draft minute, for dissemination to all members and officers.

Example: A 2-hour meeting, would cost £150 (2 x £37.50 (meeting duration) + 2 hours preparing, creating and editing the minutes). 

Eadar-theangachadh | Translation

Where bilingual minutes are requested, the draft will be provided in English, then translated into Gaelic. at the same hourly rate. 

Cosgaisean a bharrachd | Additional Costs 

An one-off additional hour is charged for all new clients. This is to read over recent papers, review meeting minute style, agenda, and familiariase ourselves with your Board members and officers. Redactions and FOI preparation, can be provided at additional cost.

Meetings should be booked with Lasair at least one week in advance, to ensure time can be allocated.

Pàigheadh | Payment

Invoices are raised following submission of second draft, on 7-day terms. Minutes will not be prepared where payment is outstanding.
